World Cup 8-0 — the perfect tournament
Champions in 2026 play exactly 8 matches: 3 in the group, then 5 knockout rounds. Spin a random nation and era, pick its greatest players and try to win all 8. Can you go 8-0?
How it works
- Spin the wheel: a random national team and a random era (one re-spin each).
- Pick your five: goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and two forwards from that country and era.
- Simulate the run: 3 group matches, then round of 32 to the final. Lose a knockout and you are out.
- Get your rating, see exactly who beat you, and share a link that replays your exact game.
Game modes
- Classic 8-0 — Win all eight matches for the perfect tournament.
- 0-8 reverse challenge — Lose every match on purpose — one knockout win ends the disaster run. Harder than it sounds.
- Daily challenge — One global spin per day — the whole world gets the same team and era. Keep your streak alive.
FAQ
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Completely free and no account, ever. Your records are saved on your device.
How does the simulation work?
Player values come from real World Cup statistics (matches, goals, titles), normalized by era so 1950s legends and current stars are comparable. Defenders and goalkeepers are scored on their own value — and no single player guarantees victory.
Why did my stacked team lose?
Every match result shows the opponent and what went wrong — a blunted attack, a cracked defense or a lost shootout. Even the greatest teams lose sometimes; that is football.
Can my friends play my exact game?
Yes. Every run has a share link with the spin built in — same team, same era, same opponents.
